Newsletter 33, Q3 2009
What a scorcher the summer of 2009 has proved to be. The last significant rainfall was early June, and the blue skies have dominated throughout the last 3 months. This quarter has also seen a change in the temperature of the housing market, with a significant change during the month of August as buyers returned with some confidence.
I personally think that now is a great opportunity to buy a property in France. Prices have probably reached rock-bottom, so buyers can expect their property value to increase gradually once more. Following the last newsletter, more clients have chosen to spend at least one full day, and sometimes several days with us, and that has reaped rewards for everyone concerned. We cannot stress how important it is that we have as much information from you as possible ahead of your visit. The we can ensure that the properties chosen are really suitable for your requirements. We prefer to discuss your needs by phone in advance - just let us know when it is the best time to call you and we will.
Our team has recently been joined by Nigel Cowles working as Agent Commercial. Nigel and his wife Kim, have lived in the area for several years and have a good network of friends. They have 3 children who have all been through the French school system, so they know that aspect of life in France very well. Nigel has already got on the sales trail and has hit the road running!
